** Slovak Finance Minister: Islamic Azad University has established a successful relationship between public and private sectors
Peter Kashmir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Slovakia accompanied by the economic and trade delegations meet IAU’s president.
President of the Islamic Azad University in the beginning of the Deputy Prime Dr. Mirzadeh, welcomed and presented a brief report on the status of Islamic Azad University to the Minister of Slovakia and his delegation. He pointed to his meeting with the Ambassador of Slovakia and noted: "Islamic Azad University is ready to establish new offices or branches in Central Europe and to set up scientific and research cooperation with Slovak Universities."
The Slovak Minister mentioned to the good relationships between the two countries and their readiness to acquire knowledge, culture and arts from other countries.
Peter Kažimír mentioned to the importance of scientific cooperation between the Slovakian Universities and IAU and welcomed the establishment of IAU branches in Slovakia.
Dr. Mirzadeh also provided some descriptions of Iran’s public and private systems and universities and said: "IAU is a private institution that provides its resources through tuition, knowledge-based economic activities and industrial contracts and services, and added that the University has no affiliation to the state budget.
President of the Islamic Azad University also noted to the comprehensive nature of science and the extent of the services provided for human being as the influential factors of the researcher’s work.
The Vice President for Students and Cultural Affairs in this meeting ask for the mutual cultural collaboration between Slovak Universities and the IAU and the IAU’s International Office is responsible to provide and pursue the collaborations drafts at the IAU.
During a tree- day trip of IAU delegation to Iraqi Sulaymaniyeh province, a few meetings with the officials were held and an Mou was signed between IAU Sanandaj branch and Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic Uni. for developing the mutual collaboration. The IAU Director General for International affairs, Dr. H. Ebrahimi expressed the IAU’s interests to pave the ground for strengthening of wide mutual cooperation between IAU and Kurdistan Region’s universities. Fortunately, the Islamic Azad University has reached the high levels of academic standards that it can provide services not only at home but outside the country, Dr. Ebrahimi added.
Dr. Nalan Feraydoun, the chancellor of Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic Uni. welcomed any cooperation with the IAU and asked for admission of Kurdish students at the IAU in masters and Ph.D. levels.
The IAU Sanandaj chancellor also extended his thanks towards IKurdish officials for their warm hospitalities during their stay in Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
** Islamic Azad University-IAU in Baghdad Book Fair with Three Hundred Books and Journals in English and Arabic
With the presence of publishers from middle-east, the Book Fair begins on 20.12.2015. The Islamic Azad University in collaboration with Printing & Publishing Organization and International Office takes part in the fair. Hossein Gholamreza Zadeh and Mehdi Keshtkar, the delegates of the IAU in the fair mentioned to the internationalization of the university in its 4th decade of existence and further collaborations with neighboring and Islamic countries as the brother country Iraq.
The fair is also a good opportunity to introduce the capabilities and achievements of the IAU, as well as providing the interest for foreign students to apply and continue their studies at IAU, Keshtkar, the Head Expert for International Affairs, Mentioned.
Dr. H. Ebrahimi, the IAU Director General for International Affairs, announced that the admission & exchange of students are of the main priorities of the IAU at the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. In his trip to Iraqi Sulaymaniyeh province, Dr. Ebrahimi had a meeting with the Iranian head consul of I. R. Iran, in which they emphasized on development of academic cooperation with Iraqi sides.
The IAU today enjoys a special status in Iran and should utilize its valuable capacities in international arenas. In this line, the IAU is also going to set up its office in Kurdistan for more collaboration with Kurdish universities in order to finally establish its branch in Kurdistan Region,Ebrahimi added.
** Islamic Azad University-IAU and Slovakia to Investigate Further Mutual Scientific and Research Co-operations
The President of IAU and the Ambassador of Slovakia in Tehran meeting to exchange Ideas in common fields of cooperation between the Slovakian Universities and the IAU.
Dr. Mirzadeh, mentioned to the facilities and capabilities of the IAU to implement faculty/student exchange programs and mutual scientific research studies. The president of the IAU also mentioned the University’s plans to establish new foreign branches outside the country in which Slovakia could be a suitable place for the university’s new foreign branch. He also invited the Slovakian higher education authorities to visit IAU and to have further discussions for mutual collaborations. The Director General for Int’l Affairs of IAU, Dr. H. Ebrahimi, announced the next meeting of the two sides’ authorities for further mutual scientific co-operations in near future.
